Welcome back from Toronto, Terri!
I See You Awards® Founder Terri Lee Chandler is back from a whirlwind trip to Toronto, Canada, where she attended the 47th Annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Terri was among just 62 journalists selected worldwide to participate in TIFF's Media Inclusion Initiative.
While at the festival, Terri attended a variety of events, film screenings and press conferences. She was also invited to attend the red carpet premiere of Tyler Perry's latest feature film, A Jazzman's Blues, which will make its debut on Netflix on September 23, 2022. This may be Perry's newest project, but as Perry told Terri during her red carpet interview with him, it's actually the first screenplay he ever wrote. It took 27 years for him to bring it to the big screen because, Perry says, the timing wasn't right until now.
A Jazzman's Blues stars Joshua Boone (teal suit) as Bayou, in this tale of forbidden love.
Co-starring along with Boone is actor Austin Scott, who portrays Bayou's brother, Willie Earl.

"A Jazzman's Blues" stars Joshua Boone and Solea Pfeiffer as star-crossed lovers Bayou and Leanne alongside an ensemble cast that includes Amirah Vann, Austin Scott, Milauna Jemai Jackson, Brent Antonello, Brad Benedict, Kario Marcel, Lana Young and Ryan Eggold.
